WHAT’S INCLUDED IN YOUR RENTAL:

PARKING

All space rentals include use of our parking facilities, which can accommodate upto 65 cars. If the event is small enough not to exceed this limit, please designate someone to direct drivers to the lower graveled lot and to show them where to park. (Note: graveled lot parking is at your own risk).

If you anticipate more than 120 guests you will need to hire valet parking.

If your event coincides with synagogue services, you will be asked to make alternate parking arrangements. Parking is allowed in designated areas only. Please do not park where posted signs say "no parking."

TABLES & CHAIRS

We provide a set number of round and rectangular tables and standard chairs. Additional or styled furniture may be rented from a third party with proof of insurance.

Any rented furniture must be picked up immediately following the event.

KITCHEN

Your approved on-site caterer will have full access to our state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, for prepping purposes only.

CONVENIENCES

During your event, an LAS host will be onsite to accommodate guest conveniences such as lighting, air conditioning and restroom amenities.

PRE-EVENT ACCESS

  • Lubavitch Aventura South opens at 7:45am, Monday through Friday and at 8:45am on Sunday. Please inform your party planner, caterer or other vendor that setup and deliveries must commence after these times.
  • For weeknight events, you will be given access to our facility 6 hours before your event. For weekday morning events, you will be given access from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM on the day before.
  • For events on a Sunday, you will be given up to 2 hours on the night before, once Shabbos ends. During the winter months, you will be given up to 3 hours. No vehicles may arrive onsite before the official end of Shabbos.
  • If you want additional time and the room is available, you may arrange with the office additional time for a fee.
  • No setup will be allowed during Shabbos for events taking place after Shabbos. Similarly, no equipment removal from a concluded event will be allowed during Shabbos.
  • The elevators throughout the building are exclusively for people. All equipment used by all vendors must be delivered at the loading dock behind the kitchen or on the back staircases.

FRIDAY EVENTS

Winter:

  • Friday morning events during the winter must follow the following guidelines:
    • Only Ballroom or Marble Room may be rented (no Extended Ballroom)
    • All events must be over by 12:30 PM
    • Only tables and chairs may be rented - no dancefloors, buffets, etc.
    • Rentals must be picked up by 1:00 PM or, if coordinated with office, they may be left for our Kiddush use and picked up Sunday morning by 10:00 AM.

Summer:

  • Friday morning events during the summer must follow the following guidelines:
    • Only Ballroom and Marble Room may be rented (no Extended Ballroom)
    • Only tables and chairs may be rented - no dancefloors, buffets, etc.
    • Rentals must be picked up immediately following the event or, if coordinated with office, they may be left for our Kiddush use and picked up Sunday morning by 10:00 AM.

Evening all year:

  • Friday night events may only take place in the Ballroom.
  • Only tables and chairs may be rented.
  • All rented furniture or decoration used on a Shabbat or Chag event, must remain in our facilities through Shabbat, and picked up on Sunday morning.
  • No Valet.
  • Any event taking place on a Shabbat or Jewish holidays, must be supervised by an Orthodox Rabbi, approved by Rabbi Rosenfeld.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESTRICTIONS

  • All evening events must be over before 11:00 p.m., as the Lubavitch Aventura South building cannot be occupied after 11:00 p.m. We are unable to make special accommodations.
  • We do not provide supervision for children. A designated supervisor must be appointed and present with the children at all times. Children found roaming or running through the building or on the steps will be escorted to their parents and may result in additional charges. This includes children playing in the playroom.
  • Certificate of insurance is required from all vendors working an event at Lubavitch Aventura South at least 15 days before an event takes place. Lubavitch Aventura South must be listed on these policies as a certified holder. Please email our office [email protected] to verify if the vendor you are choosing has the requested paperwork on file.
  • Vendors may not use the main entrance, main staircase or any elevator to transport equipment.
  • We reserve the right to search all persons, packages, and bags entering the premises.
  • We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove anyone from the premises.
  • We do not permit any weapons on our property, including pocketknives.
  • We do not take responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal property. Please do not leave any personal items unattended.
  • Decorations, props, signs and posters must be fully designed before entering our facility.
  • Decorations, props, signs and posters must be free-standing and may not be attached to walls.
  • Exit doors with clear EXIT signs MAY NOT BE BLOCKED.
  • We do not permit gambling, lit candles (unless contained), torch juggling, sparklers, party snappers, confetti, glitter, silly string, or similar items, live animals or liquor to minors.

CODE OF CONDUCT AND ETIQUETTE

Lubavitch Aventura South is an Orthodox Jewish institution and observes the traditions of Jewish law. Please respect the sanctity of our environment by adhering to these guidelines:

  • Suggested dress code: Hosts and guests should dress modestly, as they will be in a place of worship. Men should wear a Yarmulka or other appropriate head covering. Vendors should make their best efforts to have all staff dressed conservatively.
  • Seating: men and women may sit together in any of the ballrooms, however separate seating is required in the sanctuary for services.
  • Any event taking place on a Shabbat or Jewish holidays, must be supervised by an Orthodox Rabbi, approved by Rabbi Rosenfeld.
  • All rented furniture or decoration used on a Shabbat or Chag event, must remain in our facilities through Shabbat, and picked up on Sunday morning.
  • If you will be bringing a rabbi other than our rabbi to officiate at your event, you must notify us in writing or by email at least 2 weeks before so we can verify that he is recognized by the orthodox rabbinate of Greater Miami.
  • Outside food may not be brought into the Lubavitch Aventura South building for any function. Candies or other food items that you wish to add, must be given to the caterer and approved for kashrut by their mashgiach/rabbi.
  • On Shabbos and Chagim, phones, cameras and money handling are strictly prohibited throughout the property.
  • To preserve our tradition of modesty, men and women must dance separately.
  • No female vocalists are permitted except in front of an exclusively female audience.
  • To respect the sanctity of our synagogue, female photographers are not permitted in the men's section during prayers or religious services.
  • Music must be traditional, liturgical or popular Jewish music as appropriate for a synagogue. General pop/rock may not be performed or played at LAS.
